There was tension in the Belgium camp of the Super Eagles when the team coach, Sunday Oliseh and the Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama, exchanged hot words.

Trouble started when Oliseh informed the goalkeeper that Ahmed Musa will not lead the team, which Enyeama was not happy about.

He was told to share a room with another player at the team’s hotel in Belgium since he was no longer the captain.

It took the prompt intervention of Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel to calm Enyeama, who was visibly angry with the treatment being meted out on him. He had threatened to quit the camp, but was compelled not to do so.

NFF confirmed the row, saying “It’s true there was a little misunderstanding in the camp of Super Eagles,” but noted that “the matter has been resolved” and that “Enyeama stays in camp.”
