Oshoala Completes Arsenal Move

Nigeria international, Asisat Oshoala, has finally joined Arsenal Ladies from Liverpool, after a release clause in her contract was triggered.

She joined Liverpool in January 2015.

During her stint with the Merseyside club, the 21-year-old Super Falcons striker netted three goals from 12 appearances.

It would be recalled that Oshoala became the first player from Africa to feature in the Women’s Super League.

Confirming her switch from Liverpool, the North London club posted on its official website that, “Arsenal Ladies have completed the signing of Nigeria international Asisat Oshoala. The talented Nigeria international striker has joined Pedro Martinez Losa’s side from Liverpool.”

Her new coach, Losa, described the former Rivers Angels player as “a fantastic talent” that will be “a great addition to our squad.”

Losa further said Oshoala is “quick with excellent feet and has proven she can score goals so it’s very positive she has decided to join us.”
