Kogi Speaker Impeached Again

Members of the Kogi State House of Assembly have impeached their Speaker, Momoh Jimoh Lawal.

Lawal was removed from office on Tuesday alongside the Majority Leader, Kolawole Matthew; Deputy Speaker, Alih Ajuh.

According to the new Majority Leader of the House, Friday Sani, the Speaker was impeached because he was allegedly running the House like a sole proprietor.

But Lawal has described the process of his removal as a Kangaroo arrangement that cannot pass under a sane atmosphere.

He had in two previous times been impeached and have remained inconclusive.
