Clark Writes Buhari On Tompolo

Edwin-Kiagbodo-Clark
Renowned Ijaw leader, Edwin Clark, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari on the recent bombing of oil installations in the Niger Delta by some suspected militants as well as other issues relating to the region.

Clark, in a letter to the President dated January 22, 2016, urged Buhari to be very weary of those around him, saying they might be misinforming him, thereby creating more problems for him.

The vocal Ijaw leader, who condemned the recent bombing, charged the President to investigate it and prosecute those involved, rubbishing speculations that former militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, better known as Tompolo, may have hands in the acts.

He described Tompolo as a civilized Nigerian that can never be part of the renewed bombing of the pipes.

“I totally condemn the vandalisation of oil and gas pipelines and will give you 100 per cent support for whatever action you take to bring the culprits to book. It is with heavy heart that I decided to take record of pipeline vandalisations that have taken place within the last two years,” he said.
