Senator Adeola Donates Milk To Pregnant Women

The Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Solomon Adeola has donated nutritional materials to pregnant and nursing mothers in 28 councils under his district.

Making the donation of over 3000 cans of a brand of milk at his Senatorial Office in Ikeja to some primary health care centres’ representatives, the federal lawmaker explained that the gesture is part of his programme to ensure he impacts positively in areas of need of his constituents, adding that proper nutrition for pregnant and nursing mothers is a preventive measure against ill-health and diseases particularly for the expectant mothers and infants.

The Senator, who was represented by the Director General of his campaign organization, Kehinde Joseph, said he is concerned about the health of his constituents particularly women and children. He vowed to continue with such programmes he believes will impact positively on the people.

Responding to the gesture, the Council Manager of Olorunda LCDA, Jimoh Yusuph, said what Senator Adeola did is a blessing.

Also speaking, a medical officer from Otun Awori LCDA, Dr Okonma Anne, thanked the legislator for having the interest of pregnant women and unborn children at heart.
