Lionel Messi’s brace and Neymar’s lone goal were enough to give Barcelona a comfortable lead in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League match played on Wednesday night against Bayern Munich.
It took 77 minutes for Barcelona to break open the stubborn Bayern defence.
After Messi’s first goal of the match in the 77th minute, he struck again in the 80th minute, while Neymar scored the Spanish team’s third goal at the stroke of 90 minutes.
With three goal deficit in the first leg, Bayern has an uphill task of upturning the score line when they clash again next Tuesday.
The winner of the second leg semi-final match will join the winner of the Real Madrid and Juventus game next Wednesday.
