Boko Haram Seize Army Base In Borno, Kills Several Residents

According to BBC, some members of the outlawed terrorist group called Boko Haram, have taken control over a military base in Baga town of Borno State.

The seizure was reported to have taken place on Saturday, which has led to residents of the town abandoning their homes.

A Senator from Borno State was quoted by BBC to have said that ‘troops abandoned the base in the town of Baga after it was attacked on Saturday.’

The army base is reportedly used by “a multinational force set up to fight the insurgents,” BBC said in its report.

Many people were said to have been killed by the group, while others fled to neighbouring Chad due to the attack.
