Tension In Ekiti As Fayose Sacks Speaker's Aides

The atmosphere in the Ekiti political arena is tensed and the reason is not far-fetched.

The man at the helm of affairs of the state, Ayo Fayose, has relieved the duties of all political office holders attached to Speaker of the Ekiti House of Assembly, Adewale Omirin.

The governor also sacked the aides attached to the Deputy Speaker and the Majority Leader

It was gathered that the affected persons are eight in number and their sack is with immediate effect.

The affected aides of the Speaker are Wole Olujobi, Special Adviser on Media; Ojobamikan Dele, Special Adviser on Political Matters; Lawrence Awelewa, Special Adviser on Special Duties; Omirin Wande, Special Assistant on Youth Matters; Orija Samuel, Chief of Staff; and Sanmi Adeeko, Personal Assistant.

That of the Deputy Speaker is Taiwo Oluwaleye, Special Assistant on Media Matters; while that of the Majority Leader is Adedipe Esther, Special Assistant on Media Matters.

They have all been directed by the state government to hand over all government properties in their possession to the Clerk of the House with immediate effect.
