The Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, has announced that any of its elected officials willing to attend pro-President Goodluck Jonathan occasions have the liberty to do so.
This information was contained in a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, on Thursday in Abuja.
PDP said, “Further to the endorsement of His Excellency, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, by the National Executive Committee, NEC, as PDP’s sole Presidential candidate, the National Working Committee has cleared all elected party officials at all levels to attend and fully participate in any event organized in support of his candidacy.”
The party added that, “By this, all elected party officials and party members are at liberty to fully involve in events and activities organized by groups or individuals supporting President Goodluck Jonathan for the 2015 general elections.”
Recently, the PDP leadership endorsed the candidacy of Jonathan for the 2015 Presidential poll.
