Ex-Gov Ohakim Escapes Death, House Bombed

The private residence of Ikedi Ohakim, a former governor of Imo State, has been burnt down by some arsonists. The ex-number one citizen of the state escaped death as he was lucky not to have lost his live in the unfortunate incident.

The suspected hoodlums attacked the house of Ohakim few hours after there were reports in the state that he would declare his intention to contest in the gubernatorial election in Imo State in 2015.

His declaration is expected to take place in Owerri on Saturday, May 18, 2014.

The former governor’s residence in Owerri, the state capital, was reportedly bombed with some explosive devices by the thugs.

He was in Owerri on Wednesday when the incident happened at about 1am, which left the place in total ruins.

I therefore declare that anyone who is Rejoicing over this evil and dastardly act of arson against Dr Ikedi Ohakim, such wickedness and evil will befall his or her household.
