Security Guard Commits Suicide In Akure (Pictures)

The rate at which some Nigerians take their own lives is increasing by the day. Before now, such act was not too common because most cultures in the country frown at it.

Those who commit suicide are not buried the same way others are laid to rest. Instead, their remains are thrown in the ‘evil forest’, where scavengers feed on their bodies.

A middled-aged man has committed suicide in Akure, the capital of Ondo State. The man, whose identity was not yet known, was said to have worked as security guard in the city.

His lifeless body was reportedly found on Monday dangling on a tree outside the fence of the new stadium complex under construction along the Akure/Owo Expressway.

Some residents of the area have reportedly been discussing the issue in hush tones. Efforts are being made to inform the police about the unfortunate incident.
