US Election: Trump, Biden Head For First Presidential TV Debate

Donald Trump, President of the USA, who also doubles as the Republican candidate for the November 3, 2020 Presidential election, will go head-to-head in three debates in the coming weeks with Joe Biden, candidate of the Democrats.

The first presidential debate between Trump and Biden kicks off tonight at 9pm ET (2am on Wednesday morning in Nigeria) and will be held at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, moderated by Chris Wallace, an anchor for Fox News.

The debate will be 90 minutes long and split into 15-minute segments which focus on six different topics mainly: Each Candidate’s records; Supreme Court; Coronavirus pandemic; Race protests and violence in cities; Election Integrity and lastly Economy, all topics were chosen by Wallace.

Trump and Biden will get two minutes apiece to respond to the question initially before the back-and-forth begins. It is surely set to be both entertaining and informative, as this debate will help many voters cement their candidate of choice.

Donald Trump, who is a known quality, regarded as one that seeks out and dominates in the public spotlight, has lots of strengths and weaknesses which are already known to most Americans.

But this presidential debate will focus more attention Joe Biden who has a big task to perform in convincing Americans that he is the right man for the Oval office in respect of concerns about his age and mental readiness and avoid the kind of verbal stumbles that have bedevilled him in the past.

The other two presidential debates will be coming up on 15 October in Miami, Florida and 22 October in Nashville, Tennessee. There will also be a Vice-President debate between Mike Pence and Senator Kamala Harris on 7th of October in Salt Lake City, Utah. They all take place at the same time 9pm ET.
