Following visit by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on Thursday to President of Ghana at Jubilee House, the President has suggested he is open to reviewing his country’s $1 million capital base requirement for foreign businesses.

Gbajabiamila was visiting Ghana to make efforts through parliamentary diplomacy to resolve the issues over hostilities against Nigerians living in the West African country. This is after the Federal Government had issued a statement against the Ghanaian government’s treatment of Nigerians. Also criticising the amended Ghana law, that requires foreign-owned businesses to have a minimum capital base of $1 million.
