Veteran Filmmaker Lancelot Imasuen Plans Big For Father’s Burial

One of the veteran filmmakers and directors in the Nigerian movie industry, Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, is preparing massively for the burial of his father next month.

The burial ceremony is slated for October 2019 in Benin City, Edo State and from information reaching us, the top Nollywood player is leaving no stone unturned.

On Monday, June 3, 2019, the father of the Africa’s most consistent filmmaker, Chief Godwin Enabunlele Enotiemwenowan Igbinosun Imasuen, the Ohen Okhuosa of Urhokosa also known as ‘The Last Good Man’, breathed his last on earth.

Though very painful because of the strong born between Lancelot Imasuen and his late father, the movie director picked himself up to plan a befitting burial for the man, who nurtured him.

Lancelot Imasuen disclosed that all is now set to lay ‘the last good man’ to eternal rest, with the carnival-like funeral rites starting from 3rd to the 6th of October, 2019 in Benin, the Edo State capital.

In a statement, the veteran filmmaker said, “I wish to remind you over my dearest father’s funeral coming up from the 3rd through Saturday 5th of October 2019, particularly Saturday 5th social.

“Please, I humbly beg you keep this date in your mind to join me and my family in bidding a great farewell to the last Goodman, Pa Godwin Enabunlele Imasuen.

“It will be such an honor to have your esteemed presence. Details are contained in the invitation card. God bless you.”

Pa Imasuen died at the age of 84 and will begin his final journey home on Friday 4th October 2019 at 10am with his corpse leaving the Hope Mortuary, New Lagos Road to his residence at 3, Igbinagbon Street, off Ojo Street, off Uwasota Road, Ugbowo Benin City.

On Saturday, 5th October is social and guest entertainment. This high-octane mother of all entertainment will start by 12pm at Eghosa Grammar School playground, new Lagos road, Benin City and on Sunday 6th October 2019, it will be thanksgiving time, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s socials at his residence.
