The much awaited Ogoni clean-up is expected to be launched by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, June 2, 2016.

This information was disclosed by the Minister of Environment, Amina Mohammed, when she visited Bodo in Gokana Local Government Area of the state to inspect an oil spill clean-up demonstration this weekend.

She noted that Buhari would return to Ogoni land where he inaugurated a fish pond in 1984 where the once flourishing pond regrettably had been destroyed by oil pollution.
