I Have Affection For Man United—Mourinho

Newly signed Manchester United coach, Jose Mourinho, has expressed his affection for Old Trafford.

The Portuguese gaffer made this known in a statement issued on Friday by United when he was unveiled to take charge at the club.

The former Chelsea manager signed a three-year contract with the Manchester club with an option to extend his stay there till 2020.

The controversial coach said he is happy being in charge of United dressing room, adding that he had “always felt an affinity” with the club.

According to the three-time Champions League winner with three different clubs, “To become Manchester United manager is a special honour in the game.”

He described United as a “club known and admired throughout the world” because of a |”mystique and a romance about it which no other club can match.”

He said further that “I have always felt an affinity with Old Trafford; it has hosted some important memories for me in my career and I have always enjoyed a rapport with the United fans.”

Concluding, he said, “I’m looking forward to being their manager and enjoying their magnificent support in the coming years.”
