President Muhammadu Buhari has been warned to jettison any proposed plan to arrest his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan. This was the stand of the Ijaw Youth Congress, IYC, on Thursday.

The group said with the ongoing probe of massive fraud and embezzlement alleged to have taken place under Jonathan’s administration, the Federal Government may want to arrest their ‘own’, which they are against.

The youths met at the Wellington Hotel Effurrun, Delta State, for the 2016 annual Major Isaac Boro anniversary celebration with the theme, “The ideals of Adaka Boro and the renewed militancy in the Niger Delta: The way forward.”

The youths said they pick holes in the Buhari-led administration’s limit of its anti-corruption campaign only to the Jonathan regime.

According to the group’s president, Udengs Eradiri, the government should also reopen the Halliburton bribery case under ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, if it wanted Nigerians to take its anti-corruption campaign seriously.
