80-Year-Old Boko Haram Hostage Rescued

Soldiers fighting Boko Haram terrorists in the north eastern part of Nigeria have rescued an aged man held captives by the group.

The elderly man identified as Mallam Ibrahim Matuk, regained his freedom thanks to the Nigerian forces.

It was gathered that the man, who is 80 years old, was rescued at Shaltimari village, Borno State on Sunday, May 1, 2016.

Troops of 29 Task Force Brigade found the man while clearing remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in the area.

The victim told the military that he has suffered untold hardship in the hands of the terrorists who he said killed all his children while in captivity.

Matuk expressed his gratitude to the Nigerian forces for rescuing him.
