A woman believed to be in her 50s was on Tuesday maltreated in the Dopemu area of Lagos State by some irate youths.
Aproko247 gathered that the unidentified woman was accused of attempting to kidnap a child around Okeho Street in Dopemu, near Akowonjo, Egbeda, Lagos, when she was caught.
The angry mob did not wait to hand the alleged kidnapper to the relevant authorities as they descended on her an unclothed her.
She was paraded in public with her dresses torn by the angry youths.
It took the intervention of a traffic female police officer at the check point at Dopemu Market to rescue the woman.
The assaulted woman, who already had swollen eyeballs, was later taken to a nearby police station.
A police in Dopemu told Aproko247 that the matter is currently under investigation. Our source, however, did not state if the woman was actually a kidnapper or not.
