Police in Lagos State have rescued the three students of Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary School, Ikorodu, Lagos, who were kidnapped by some unknown gunmen some days ago.
Confirming the freedom of the students, Lagos State Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, said on Sunday that the kidnapped school girls were rescued in Igbokuta area of Ikorodu.
He however did not disclose if any money exchanged hands with the abductors before the girls were freed.
It would be recalled that shortly after the incident occurred, the state government directed the police to launch a manhunt for the hoodlums and free the students.
