Dasuki’s Trial Stalled Again

The trial of the immediate past National Security Adviser, NSA, Sambo Dasuki, for an alleged diversion of funds meant for the purchase of arms to fight terrorism in the country was again frustrated on Tuesday.

Dasuki is standing trial before Justice Peter Affen of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja, alongside his co-defendants.

Failure of the Department of State Service, DSS, which arraigned Dasuki, to produce him in court ‎on time stopped the trial on Tuesday.

The suspect was brought to court by the country’s secret police just when the judge was adjourning the case.

Justice Affen has now fixed February 26, 2016, for the next hearing.

It would be recalled that on January 22, 2016, a similar incident occurred which forced Justice Baba Yusuf of the same Maitama Division of the FCT High Court adjourned Dasuki’s trial till February 4.
