Buhari Sends Second Ministerial List To Senate

President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded second batch of his ministerial nominees to the Senate.

The President sent the list to the Senate on Monday for screening and confirmation as required by the Nigerian Constitution.

Buhari forwarded the first set to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.

In the first list were 21 names, which was short of 15 names as the law requires. According to the Constitution, the President is mandated to pick his ministers at least one from each of the 36 states of the federation.

Screening of the nominees starts on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 and would be streamed live.
