Buratai Tells Troops, Confront Boko Haram Without Fear

Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, has told troops fighting Boko Haram insurgents in the north east to do so without fright.

Buratai, who was at Gajigana, Magumeri Local Government Area of Borno State, which was attacked by the terrorists on Sunday, expressed his dissatisfaction with the troops to their commanders.

He warned that such would not be tolerated again.

The Army chief, who was received and conducted round troops’ deployment by the Commander 5 Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 243 Battalion, disclosed that he made the visit to see things for himself, asses the situation and give necessary directives.

Buratai urged members of the public to support and cooperate with the troops in defeating the insurgent, adding that exposing suspected terrorists among them would go a long way.
