The Federal High Court judge handling case of the Senate President, Justice R. Mohammed, has dispatched the case file to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mahmud Mohammed.
This is to enable the CJN to reassign the matter to another judge.
According to Justice Mohammed, he is withdrawing from the case due to negative reports from Nigerians on the matter.
He made his decision known on Wednesday.
Saraki had run to the High Court to stop his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal. He is expected to appear before the Tribunal on October 21, 2015.
