Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole, on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, fired four Commissioners in his cabinet. The governor disclosed that the sack of the affected officials is with immediate effect.
Oshiomhole said he took this action in line with his commitment to fortify the system towards optimal performance.
The affected persons are Mrs Blessing Maigida, Commissioner for Women Affairs; Lucky James, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Chris Ebare, Commissioner for Energy and Water Resources and Patrick Aguinede, Commissioner for Basic Education.
They have been ordered to hand over all government property in their possession to the Permanent Secretaries in their respective Ministries.
Oshiomhole, who thanked the former Commissioners for their services to Edo State, wished them well in the future endeavours.
