**Arraigns 129 Cult Suspects In Benin

The Nigeria Police on Thursday commenced the arraignment of more than 100 persons suspected to belong to various cult groups in Benin City, the Edo State capital.

Our correspondent learnt that a total of 129 persons were precisely taken to the Chief Magistrate, Special Grade ‘F’ Court in Benin for offences ranging from kidnapping, cultism, murder and armed robbery.

The suspects were arrested at different times in the state.

There had been cult related clashes in some parts of the state lately, which led to the deaths of some persons. The law efforcement agency stepped up its game to bring the situation under control when it almost consumed the state.

Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, has urged Nigerians and foreigners in the country to shun crime or be prepared to face the full wrath of the law. He stressed his resolve to ensure victims of crime in the country get justice.
