The Nigerian Senate has approved the request by President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint 15 Special Advisers to aid his day-to-day running of his administration.
Buhari had written to the red chamber, seeking the consent of the lawmakers to appoint qualified Nigerians as his advisers.
Members of the Senate, who sat on Wednesday at the National Assembly Complex, deliberated on the letter sent to them and gave Buhari the nod to go ahead with his appointments.
With this, the President now has the liberty to choose those he feels he will like to work with him.
The letter was the first correspondence Buhari sent to the National Assembly since he was sworn-in as President of Nigeria.
