The Emir of Dutse, Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi, has been axed by the new Jigawa State governor, Muhammadu Abubakar Badaru, as Chairman of Dutse Capital Development Authority, DCDA.

Badaru made this known in a statement issued on Monday in Dutse, the state capital.

The governor also announced the sack of other appointees of the government holding all non-statutory or non tenured board membership position in the state. These include Chairmen of all Jigawa State Ministries, Departments, Agencies, MDA’s and Pilgrims Centres.

In May 2015, the former governor, Sule Lamido, appointed the Emir as Chairman of DCDA. Some residents of the state kicked against it because they felt the monarch pressured the former governor to give him the position.

Badaru also directed all local government and education secretaries in the 27 local councils in the state to handover to their respective Directors of Personnel Management, DPM, with immediate effect.
