Former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has debunked rumours that he once had serious issues with his successor, Babatunde Fashola, which led to a fight between them.

Tinubu’s denial is coming just after the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, claimed he was responsible for settling the differences between Tinubu and Fashola. The monarch was speaking few days ago at Blue Roof, located inside the premises of LTV 8, Ikeja, at the 2900 days in office of the governor.

Reacting to the issue via his Twitter account on Friday, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, stressed that he never fought with Fashola.

He, however, admitted that he had issues with the governor over “party position.”

“Between Fashola and myself, there has never been any fight, only disagreements over procedures in the past. It borders on the party position,” Tinubu wrote.

He added that, “All these are in the past. What we have achieved politically in Lagos and Nigeria is a result of team work; political compatibility and vision.”
