An adhoc official of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, met her untimely death on Saturday, while heading to her place of assignment for the presidential poll in Benue State.
The lady, identified Blessing Agidi Odeh, our reporter learnt, was involved in a motorcycle accident on Saturday morning along the Obussa-Ebonyi road, in Oju local government area of Benue state.
It was learnt that Blessing died on the spot, while the motorcycle rider later gave up the ghost before he could get medical attention.
The deceased INEC official, until her demise, was a student of University of Agriculture Makurdi, Benue State.
Reports suggest that the crash occurred while the ‘okada’ rider was on a top speed.
Public Relations Officer, PRO, of INEC in Benue State, Louis Ochai, confirmed the incident.
