A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Monday, dismissed the suit filed against one of the key suspects docked for the bomb blast that occurred at a bus station near Abuja in April 2014.
The suspect, Aminu Ogwuche, son of a retired military officer in Nigeria, was extradited to Nigeria from Sudan by Interpol few months ago. He reportedly fled to Sudan to evade arrest by Nigeria’s security officials.
He was fingered as the mastermind of the blast, which claimed several lives at the motor park in Nyanya, a town near Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital City.
He was arraigned on a two-count charge bordering on terrorism, but discharged by the court on Monday.
More details later.
