In its efforts to keep the general public aware of activities of fraudsters on social media platforms using the identities of its top personnel, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has posted links of fake accounts used for these acts.
In a statement issued on Thursday and made available to Aproko247, the Corps urged Facebook users to report the accounts to operators of the social media platform as spam for them to be shut down.
“Help the corps by clicking on each of the links (below) open it and report it as SCAM so that Facebook can block them in order to save our society from fraudulence activities,” the statement disclosed.
“The NSCDC is calling on the general public especially job-seekers and contractors to be wary of the Facebook accounts/pages operated by fraudsters to defraud applicants in the name of the Commandant General Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu,” it added.
“We wish to notify the public that NSCDC Boss does not operate any Facebook, therefore any one patronizing any Facebook in his name does it at its own detriment,” it warned.
