According to Leadership newspaper, some mortuary attendants were recently arrested by the Police in Delta State allegedly molesting female corpses deposited in the mortuary. Below is the report;
Mortuary attendants, alleged to indulge in ritual exercises in Delta communities, are said to have taken their unbridled $exual lifestyles to dead female corpses.
It was reliably gathered that mortuary attendants in desperate acts to get rich as well as ward-off witchcraft disturbances, have allegedly been making love to corpses indiscriminately.
LEADERSHIP checks revealed that police detectives last two weeks arrested three persons who claimed to be mortuary attendants upon a tip-off and after interrogation, they confessed to the crime.
They identified 15 bodies which they believed could have been violated by the night attendants and recovered used tissue papers and condoms.
Speaking to our correspondent, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Celestina Kalu, said two persons with identity cards bearing mortuary attendants have been arrested.
She said that upon interrogation, they confessed to the crimes that they have been in the illicit sexual act in the last one year, saying that they wanted to be rich.
