Yishawu opined that creation of states is provided for in the constitution, and that we should follow the process of creating state, which he said, should be taken to the National Assembly.

“As a body, you sit down and say you create more states is wrong. The issues we have in Nigeria is not about creation or non-creation of states. We all know our problems, no power, poor education, no road, all these are within the powers of the Federal Government.

“Even the states we have, are we running them like a true federation. No implementation of the rule of law, if you don’t believe in the rule of law, it is unnecessary to create more states” he said.

In his own contribution, Hon. Bisi Yusuf representing Alimosho 1 added, “I don’t think we need more states but a goal getter and purposeful leadership. No matter number of states created, we need true federalism.”
