Shakarau Meets Striking Poly Lecturers

Newly sworn-in Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau, has met members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, who embarked on an industrial action for some months ago.

Shekarau, who was sworn-in by President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday in Abuja, is meeting with the leadership of the union on Thursday.

Information gathered by Aproko247 confirms that the new Minister of Education is currently having talks with ASUP at the Ministry of Education secretariat in Abuja. The meeting started about 3:15pm.
