Ekiti Poll: Fani-Kayode Congratulates Fayose

Lawyer turned politician, Femi Fani-Kayode, has congratulated winner of the Ekiti State governorship election held on Saturday, Ayo Fayose.

Fayose was declared winner of the poll by the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, on Sunday, beating the incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Kayode Fayemi.

Fani-Kayode described the election as “free and fair”, saying that the “people have spoken.”

“Congrats to my brother Ayo Fayose and the Ekiti state branch of the PDP who won in today’s (Saturday) governorship election in Ekiti State,” he said.

He added that, “Kayode Fayemi remains my brother and friend. He is a profoundly good man and I trust that he will accept the decision and choice of the people of Ekiti with his usual decency and magnaminity.”
