Kefee’s Death Deepens K-Solo, Timaya Bitter War

The gap between former friends, K-Solo and Timaya, is gradually widening by the day and there seems no end to what has torn them apart. Some years ago, K-Solo launched the music career of Bayelsa State-born Timaya.

As Aproko247 reliably learnt from those who knew when the going was good between the two music stars, Timaya found solace in the studio of K-Solo when he (Timaya) first landed in Lagos some years ago.

But what Aproko247 cannot pinpoint is how their friendship deteriorated to the extent that they exhibit public hatred for each other.

You will recall that K-Solo had once said Timaya had no investment or a house, and when some thought they must have settled their differences, the death of talented Nigerian gospel singer, Kefee Obareki, resuscitated the bitter war between them.

Timaya, paying tribute to the lady he did a duet with, ‘Kokoroko’, a single that later shook the music industry in Africa, described the deceased as a friend, business partner and a sister.

But K-Solo found a hole in Timaya’s tribute and he blasted him for lying about his tribute to Kefee. He accused Timaya of not being a true friend to Kefee, claiming that he (Timaya) never wished the late singer happy birthday.

K-Solo fumed that, “when she was alive, did you post her picture on IG or mention her on BBM PM or Dp?? Now she is gone, you uploaded her picture on IG saying RIP. World people and you call yourself true friend, business friend. Did you wish her HBD on Instagram?”

Reacting to K-Solo’s rant, Timaya said, “boys tell stories, but men tell stories about their success. Keep talking while I am working.

It is not certain if both parties will sheath their swords soon, but all fingers are crossed to watch where the fight will end.
