The estranged wife of Sullivan Chime, Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, Mrs Clara Chime (nee Igwe) was days back given a top job at the headquarters of NAFDAC in Abuja as a senior director.
Sources hinted that Nigeria’s First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, secured the appointment for Mrs. Clara Igwe.
Those in the know divulged to us that Patience Jonathan came to the rescue of Clara Igwe by influencing President Jonathan to get the woman the job.
It was also exclusively gathered that apart from the job, the nation’s First Lady also gave Clara a house and a brand new car.
It will be recalled that before Clara separated from Governor Chime, she alleged that she was being maltreated by the governor, who she said locked her up for days at the Governor’s lodge in Enugu, an allegation which was denied by Governor.
Her matter raised dusts after some interest groups waded into the matter.
