Some weeks ago, one Tunde Orilowo, new husband of Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare, was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for an alleged fraud of over N2 billion. Even after the man in question claimed he’s being blackmailed by the anti-graft agency, the EFCC insisted that Orilowo was wanted.
The agency went further to obtain an injunction from court to seize the man’s properties, including a boutique he opened for his actress wife, Laide Bakare, in Lagos.
Soon after the seizure development was reported by the media, many thought Laide would be in a sorry and dejected mood because of the situation she has found herself in, but the reverse seems to be the case. When the whole sage first started, Laide disclosed that she would solidly stay behind her husband no matter what.
From the look of things, Laide is not letting the saga bring worry to her as she was spotted at a function held recently in Lagos, putting on a charming smile she is known for by her friends.
Laide, according to information gathered by Aproko247, was at the 30 years on stage of Yinka Quadri, a fellow actor in the Yoruba film industry. The event was held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the premises of LTV 8, Ikeja.
It was learnt that Laide didn’t look an inch worried or perturbed by the controversies surrounding her husband as she freely related with her colleagues at the event.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that Orilowo has left the shores of Nigeria to Canada to evade arrest, however, a source close to the family told our reporter that the man is still in the country.
