VIDEO: Nollywood Unites Against COVID-19

Some top players in the Nigerian movie industry fondly called Nollywood have come together to fight a common enemy causing many to have sleepless nights.

Since the beginning of this year, the world has been battling with the Coronavirus disease, which has claimed over 120,000 lives. Globally, nearly 2 million people have been infected with the virus and scientists are work round the clock to find a vaccine for the virus.

As part of their contribution, some top guns in Nollywood joined forces together to raise an awareness campaign for those in Nigeria and outside the country to stay safe.

At the moment, the only way to avoid the disease is to maintain social distancing or stay away from crowded places because a carrier could easily transmit it to others.

This is why governments across the globe have locked down their cities, towns and villages and Nigeria is not an exception.

Filmmakers in Nigeria did a video to urged citizens to stay safe, assuring that, “Together we will overcome this pandemic.”

Several notable faces on the silver screens partook in this campaign including Tricia Esiegbe, Emeka Rollas, Segun Arinze, Desmond Eliot, Femi Adebayo, Charles Inojie, Zack Orji, Chioma Akpotha, Femi Branch, Funsho Adeolu, amongst others.
