Deputy National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nasir El-Rufai, has revealed that the opposition party will take over power from the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in 2015, when the next general elections holds in Nigeria.
El-Rufai, a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, made this known on Saturday in Kaduna at the state APC stakeholders’ meeting in preparation for the party’s forthcoming congresses.
He added that the PDP only has about 11 months to leave the seat of power in Aso Rock.
“Even people in power now know that, they (PDP) have 11 months to pack their bags because we (APC) are taking over (from the ruling party), El-Rufai stated. He described his party as a government in the waiting.
