Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has urged the Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, to return to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, noting that he has no business with his new party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.
According to Anyim, “on a serious note, Your Excellency, you have no business with the Aggrieved Peoples Congress.”
The former Senate President, speaking at the 11th Edition of The Sun Awards, which was held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos on Saturday, hailed Kwakwanso for emerging as the joint winner of The Sun Man of the Year for 2013. He described the governor as good leader and man of the people.
Anyim appealed to Kwakwanso to return home to the warm embrace of his loved ones in the ruling party, PDP.
Also commenting on the awards, the SGF, who was the Chairman of the occasion, commended the initiators of the event for rewarding outstanding personalities, noting that it coming almost at the same time President Goodluck Jonathan would be honouring 100 distinguished personalities who have contributed to the development of Nigeria in the last 100 years.
He urged the organisers of the awards never to lower its standard in choosing its awardees.
