Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Davies Ikanya, has disclosed that nine state governors elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will join its fold before the end of March 2014.
He stated further that more Senators would also defect to the opposition party along with the governors.
Ikanya revealed this while congratulating the recently defected 11 Senators from the ruling PDP.
The APC Chieftain revealed that “we are aware that by March 2014, more Senators and nine PDP governors will cross over to APC from PDP by which time the arrangement for the formal burial of the doomed PDP will commence.”
He charged the Senate President, David Mark, to read the defection notification letter presented to the Senate by the defecting lawmakers. Ikanya described the Senators as truly progressive minded, adding that they had come to where they truly belonged.
