Eagles In Win Or Win Clash With South Africa

The Nigerian senior national football team will go head-to-head with their South African counterpart in an AFCON qualifying match later on Wednesday in the late Nelson Mandela country.

The Super Eagles will ensure a victory against the Bafana Bafana in order to be in a good position of qualifying for the competition.

The Eagles lost their first game against the Congolese side on Saturday in a match that ended 3-2 in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. Congo came from a goal behind to hand Nigeria her first defeat in Calabar.

Coach of the Nigerian side, Stephen Keshi, has expressed confidence in his boys, saying he will defeat the South Africa and put Nigeria in good position to pick first spot in Group A, which also has Sudan.

Last Saturday, Bafana Bafana beat the Sudanese side away in a 3-0 thriller. South Africa is yet to record her first victory against the Eagles in a competitive match.
