Boko Haram Kills Borno Gov's Aide, 8 Others

Some suspected terrorists believed to be Boko Haram members have killed an aide to Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State along with eight others.

The governor’s aide, identified as Muhammad Sani, was shot dead by the gunmen on Friday at Bulabulin-Ngabura village, which is about 50km from Maiduguri, the state capital.

The attackers stormed the village and shot at their victims and causing pandemonium in the area. Many were injured in the incident.

In a related development, members of the dreaded group also attacked commuters around Biu. The incident reportedly caused a traffic gridlock on the highway for several hours.
