An Ebute Metta Chief Magistrate Court has ordered Lekan Shonde to be remanded in prison.
Lekan Shonde was accused of killing his late former banker wife, Ronke Shonde, at their home in the Egbeda area of Lagos State earlier in the month.
On Friday, May 20, 2016, the police in Lagos arraigned the 51-year-old man in court for murder.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge read to him, but the Magistrate ordered him to be remanded in prison for 30 days.
The next hearing is fixed for next month.
