Eight Contestants Prepares for Week Four of Nigerian Idol

The Bigi drinks sponsored Nigerian Idol took a dramatic twist on Sunday as Akunna’s electrifying performance thrilled the audience with much applause from the judges, with the song “Loving Your Way” by Seyi  Shay, one of the judges.

Akunna, who performed beautifully, received words of commendation from the judges.

Her rendition which formed one of the major highlights was praised by DJ Sose, a judge, who stated, “I am sorry Seyi, I prefer Akunna’s performance of your song to yours.”

On her part, Seyi who was overwhelmed with joy that her song was well sang stated “I was saying to myself while she was on stage, is it my song? l love it and Akunna can have it now,” while the other judge, Obi Asika, eulogised the wonderful act by the talented singer with the following words,” Your look, voice, everything was incredible and on point.”

Fascinatingly, Beyonce Ajomiwe, who contested with Clinton Francis for an eviction was saved by her wonderful song with standing ovation from the judges.

Her song, “Right Now” by Seyi earned comments such as “Keep growing, your performance is unbelievable,” “More than sweet, you showed us a different kind of range, amazingly, you brought out the hidden voice,” and “You look like a rock star, you are sweet.”

Other contestants also performed excitingly, with Comfort Alalade’s “Duduke “by Simi;  Faith Onyeje’s “Awele” by Flavour and Kingdom Kroseide’s lyrics “Aye” by Davido. Not left out was the performance by Emmanuel Elijah, with the song “For You” by Teni Featuring Davido, which DJ Sose said was well done, while Seyi added “ this is one of the best performance l have seen in a long time.” Also, Asika enthused “you have really stepped up.”

Entertainingly, those for the next show on Sunday are Kingdom Kroseide, Akunna Okey, Faith Onyeje,  Francis Atela, Daniel Ikechi, Beyonce Ajomiwe, Comfort Alalade and Emmanuel Elijah.
