Nigerian singer and second half of the defunct P-Square, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr. P is currently in a sober mood as he announced the death of his father in-law, Chief Oladipo Adewale Omotayo.

The singer’s wife Lola Omotayo on Wednesday broke the news of her father’s death on her official Instagram handle, as she disclosed how her family has been affected by the death of her father.

Peter Okoye moments later shared photos of his wife’s father on his Instagram page. Sharing heartwarming photos of his father-in-law, he wrote, “My dear great father-in-law, Chief Oladipo Adewale Omotayo aka “Papa”

“We will surely miss you! Your beloved daughter Lola Okoye and your grandchildren Cameron & Aliona Okoye misses you desperately”.

“We know we have been truly blessed to have had a husband, father, and grandfather and most especially a Father-in-law like you. Till we meet again Papa. Adieu, Papa.”

Meanwhile, Nigerian celebrities have begun to react to the death of Peter Okoye’s father-in-law, as they all took to his comment section to console and mourn with him and his family.

Also reaching out to the family are wives of Paul and Jude Okoye, despite the grudge between their husbands.

Lola in her tribute to her late dad had written “In the early hours of this morning, I received some very sad news that brought my family’s world to a grinding halt.

“My darling Papa’s passing has hit us all very hard, and while we know that he is in a better place, the truth is that, there is no easy way to handle the grief that comes with the loss of a loved one.

“However, what we can do, is be comforted in the memories he has blessed us with, keeping our hearts set on the wonderful person that Papa was; the wonderful, kind and generous person he will always be to us and to the many lives he touched with his time here on earth.
