A popular and top Fuji artiste, Alhaji Saheed Akorede Okunola, otherwise known as Saheed Osupa, has raised an alarm over the use of a fake Facebook account (King Saheed Osupa) to defraud some unsuspecting persons.
In a statement issued by his Corporate Manager and Publicist, Ola Muhammed, on Tuesday, the Fuji lord said he was not happy with the use of his name by these impostors to defraud unsuspecting individuals and fans.
He asked his fans all over the world to be careful who they deal with, assuring them steps are urgently being taken to make those behind this ugly act face the full wrath of the law.
“The attention of the management of Fuji mega star, Saheed Osupa, has been drawn to the fraudulent act by some criminals who had opened a fake Facebook account in his name to extort unsuspecting individuals and fans.
“The criminals had used King Saheed Osupa’s name to open the account and promise to give out cash, house, visa, scholarship, travel to Dubai or England and others thing, while asking unsuspecting members of the public to participate in sending him/her message to participate in the fraud bonanza or gift campaign.
“We wish to state that the musician, who has a genuine account on social media, will not go in that direction to give his numerous fans money, gift or items in such manners.
“In lieu, here is Saheed Osupa real handle on Facebook and Instagram respectively. King (Dr) Saheed Osupa Akorede and @kingsaheedosupa,” the statement made available to Aproko247 read.
