A member of the Jumia board of directors, Andre Iguodala, will on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 have a crucial meeting by 12 noon with some entrepreneurs in Nigeria for an event to be hosted by Techpoint.
Iguodala is an American Basketball Player and Silicon Valley Investor, who has investmenrs in Facebook, Twitter and Tesla.
He will be in Lagos for the session themed: “Moving from Zero to Growth,” which is aimed to address issues around funding and investment for local startups.
Iguodala will share his experience on how he has built his personal portfolio as an investor and further give insights on how local founders can position their business for growth.
A statement issued by Jumia said the interactive session with Andre Iguodala is particularly open to founders, local investors, hub owners and accelerators.
It said although the event is free to attend, Jumia and Techpoint would however be largely involved in selecting those who can attend, while venue of the event will be communicated to shortlisted applicants.
